CalKIDS

Eligible families can still sign up to claim their free higher education funds from the state. Students can claim up to $1,500 for college. In addition, newborns can also claim up to $175 for college. Please visit the webpage for more information: https://calkids.org/.

In addition, Educational Services will be working with schools to promote this program so the community can take advantage of the funds made available to them.

Metrolink Student Adventure Pass

The Montebello Unified School District is excited to inform students and families about Metrolink’s new Student Adventure Pass. The Student Adventure Pass allows all Montebello Unified School District students to take the Metrolink across six counties in Southern California for free. Metrolink will run this program for approximately six months.

In order for students to to get their Student Adventure Pass:

Download the Metrolink mobile app and register using your school email and verify your email address to receive your Student Adventure Pass.
Activate your pass each time you ride before boarding by using the in-app ticket wallet.
Show your student identification with your pass. Your student identification is required to qualify for the Student Adventure Pass.

The Metrolink Student Adventure Pass is a great supplement to the Metro GoPass TAP cards to broaden the areas students can travel. We hope students take advantage of this free program from Metrolink. Please visit https://metrolinktrains.com/students for more information.
